Where can I buy equipment?
Elsmore Swim Shop (located on Highway 7 in Minnetonka) has partnered with the Hurricanes. All equipment, as well as team suits, can be purchased using the link on the bottom of our website to our Elsmore Team Store. As a bonus, Elsmore gives the Hurricanes a portion of the proceeds of all purchases made through that link!
Does my swimmer need to have all the required equipment?
Yes. We work with our equipment most practices and if they don't have a specific piece of equipment, they're at a disadvantage with the rest of the group and are not getting the most out of their practice. This can affect how they advance as a swimmer. We use our equipment for a reason: for proper technique development and to become better swimmers!
What equipment do we need?
Recommended equipment for all swimmers:
- Goggles (two pair)
- Practice suit
- Mesh bag (for carrying equipment)
- Swim Cap (two)
- Team competition suit (ordered through Elsmore)
Required equipment by practice group:
Whirlwind - Fins
Breeze/Blast - Fins
Gust/Gale - Fins, Snorkel
Cyclone - Fins, Snorkel, Paddles
Senior Bronze - Fins, Snorkel, Paddles
Senior Silver/Gold - Fins, Snorkel, Paddles, Board, Buoy, Tempo Trainer (optional)
How do I know what size suit to buy?
If you are unsure of your swimmer’s suit size, stop by the Elsmore store and try on the same style before ordering the team suit online. They are located in the Country Village Shopping Center on Highway 7 in Minnetonka.
